Dash and Lily: Episode Ranking

Hello friends and Happy Holidays. It is now December so I can finally start talking about my favorite type of rom-coms: holiday films. This fall, Netflix released a show called Dash and Lily to get us in the holiday spirit. If you have not seen the show, you might be confused and there are no major spoilers, but I highly recommend that you watch the show either before or after reading this. Basically the show follows two teenagers, Dash and Lily, who dare each other to go to different places around the city and try new things. The twist is that they do it all through a notebook. Because there is only 1 season and 8 episodes, I thought I would rank all the episodes for you. So Let's get into it!

8: Episode 2- Lily

This episode tackled the back story of one of the main characters, Lily. While this episode was good, I found it to be a bit slow at times and it did not have as many great moments as some of the other episodes. However, I really loved the songs they used in this episode. But that was the only thing I really enjoyed about it.

7: Episode 6- Christmas Eve

In this episode the drama really starts to pick up. This was the episode where I found myself yelling at the characters because the answer to their problem was right there. The reason this episode is so far back is because Dash makes a bad mistake and I was furious at him, but I found I was very interested in the story.

6: Episode 3- Hanukkah

I just can't with this episode, it so different from all the other ones, and the location of this episode is very odd. This episode was simply just not my style, however I was very interested in the choices of the characters and never took my eyes off the screen.

5: Episode 7- Christmas

Everything goes wrong. This episode is the second to last episode where the plot unravels and things take a turn. As the viewer I had second hand anxiety because I wanted everything to work out, yet everything seemed to be going wrong. This was the perfect lead up to the final episode which we will talk about later.

4: Episode 5- Sofia and Edgar

If you are wondering who Sofia and Edgar are, they are the people pulling Dash and Lily apart. This episode was really fun to watch, it tested Dash and Lily's feelings for each other. Also it had one of my favorite quotes, "if you can't find the rainbow, then stand in the rain and scream."

3: Episode 1- Dash

This episode focused on Dash finding the notebook and following the clues. I thought it was a really great pilot to the show, the plot and characters were presented nicely and I wanted to know more. This episode was full of mystery which made me want to watch more, and it made me want to be in NYC for Christmas.

2: Episode 4- Cinderella

I thought this episode was adorable. Dash caring about Lily and trying to find her and make sure she was okay was amazing. This episode was the most rom-comy of all of them and I loved it so much, if you have seen it you know why I love it.

1: Episode 8- New Year's Eve

This was the final episode of the season and it wrapped everything up perfectly. I turned off the tv with a smile after watching. If you need a pick me up, this episode is perfect for finding your inner holiday spirit. This episode really showed how much Dash and Lily grew as people. The best part had to be the guest star, but you have to watch if you want to know who it is.

I hope you liked my picks, if you haven't seen the show I really hope you watch it. The episodes are only 30 minutes long so it is easy to binge. Seriously go watch it, even if you've already seen it, go watch it again, and with that, I wish you all a happy holiday!
