Who Wore it Better?
Hello friends, this is Abby here to give you my decision on who has the better look: rom com edition! We will be looking at 3 different categories from several different movies. Disclaimer: this entry is only for girls. Also, I am no fashion expert, so don't expect an in-depth review on the outfits. Alright let's get into the first category!
The Formal Dress
For this category we have 2 contestants, Elle (left) from the Kissing Booth and Celia (right) from The Perfect Date. Elle has a gorgeous salmon colored dress that, in my opinion flatters her nicely. The ruched top is a nice detail that adds to the otherwise simple dress. Celia's darker color dress goes perfectly with her personality, the short skirt and floral design add a beautiful pop of color. The dress looks nice, however I find it to be a bit busy. For this category, I think simplicity is key, therefore the winner is Elle!
Winner: Kissing Booth
The Dance Costume
From Feel the Beat, we have the same color and one simple style, while in Work It we have each person wearing a different costume in different colors. Both are very different looks and styles of dance. The pale blue dresses go perfectly with the emotional dance style and the long dress looks gorgeous on stage, however the material does not look very flattering. On the other side, we have multiple colors and several different styles. The costumes were meant to match each characters' personality which was done well. For the last category I know I said I prefer simplicity, but for the stage, I feel that the more striking look from Work It works best.
Winner: Work It
The Swim Suit
Sporting a light blue top with navy blue bottoms we have Willowdean from Dumplin (left). Her swim suit choice is flattering and the color is a very summery color. The crossed looking pattern on the top is a nice touch, however I think this would look better strapless. With a less conservative choice we have Elle from the Kissing Booth (right). The bright colors are very eye-catching and the addition of black details add extra detail to the swim suit. Personally I love the light blue color on both swim suits, but I am going to have to go with Willowdean's more conservative suit.
Winner: Dumplin

I have to agree with all of your choices except for the first one. Maybe because I personally like darker dresses? I feel like the cut on Elle's dress doesn't suit her so well. Well- I really can't decide. Because Celia's dress is a bit too much so I see what you mean by the simplicity. Elle's is definitely more formal but Celia's dress goes with her short hair. I think maybe Celia because it expresses her a bit more.
